Pig feeding management system SKIOLD Distriwin

SKIOLD Eat Time Advanced - add-on to Distriwin

Advanced feeding made easy

Using liquid feeding, Distriwin can be expanded with SKIOLD Eat-Time Advanced - a system that optimizes the feed based on the animal’s circadian rhythm. SKIOLD EatTime is a new liquid feeding principle based on instant insights from the farm. The feed is a large cost for the pig farm owners, and SKIOLD EatTime Advanced optimizes the feed based on the animal’s circadian rhythm, a new improved way of feeding, which has never been seen before.

Feed curve - based on Danish knowledge and research

Due to a lot of factors, the pig's appetite differs just like humans. The allocation of feed follows a reference curve; the norm curve, and SKIOLD EatTime automatic regulate the feed supply on the basis of the measured eating rate for the benefit for the farmer and the welfare of the pigs.

Optimize feed usage and growth

SKIOLD EatTimes advanced is based on experience and knowledge, which has analyzed that the approximately norm time is 6 minutes to finish eating. Does the pig eat faster or slower, SKIOLD EatTime Advanced regulates the feed amount the next day and not as other systems change the feed the next feeding. This gives the best results compared to growth and feed consumption.

Lactating Sows

In the case of lactating sows, it is important that there is a focus, during all feedings, on the possibility of increased food rations, to accommodate the feed requirements of milk production for the increasing number of piglets.

SKIOLD EatTime Advanced gives:

  • Optimal feed consumption
  • Better animal welfare – Pigs gets the proper amount of feed
  • Combines ad lib feeding and restricted feeding in an optimal way.
  • Limited contaminated feed for better welfare and growth
  • Supports up to 10 daily meals.
  • Optimizing the amount distributed to each pen
  • Optimizing growth of the finisher
  • Optimizing milk production on farrowing sows
  • Adjustment active on all distributions of the day
  • Via the feed curve it is possible per section, to change recipe content during the growth period, to optimize protein content to adapt the need of the pigs
